No putty impressions. See your own teeth on screen.
iTero™ digital scanner
Instead of biting into a tray of impression putty, you get a digital scan. The iTero scanner is a small wand that captures your teeth and gums and turns them into a 3D model on screen. We use the scan for crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant crowns, and you can look at the model yourself while Dr. Chang explains what he's seeing. It's more comfortable than putty, especially if you have a strong gag reflex. We can also compare scans over time to spot changes like wear.
Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays show what an exam can't: decay between teeth, infection at the tip of a root, bone loss, and problems under existing fillings and crowns. The images come up on screen within seconds, so we can go over them with you right away, and they use less radiation than traditional film X-rays.
Intraoral camera
A pen-sized camera that takes close-up photos inside your mouth. If Dr. Chang sees a crack, a worn filling, or decay, he can show it to you on screen instead of just describing it.
Fotona laser
The Fotona is a dental laser. Dr. Chang uses it to trim gum tissue, to uncover implants at the second stage of implant treatment, and during root canals, where it activates the disinfecting rinse (sodium hypochlorite) inside the canals.
Hygiene laser
We use our hygiene laser during deep cleanings (scaling and root planing) and other gum disease treatment.
